Quad News 2023- Meet Leonel

​We previously introduced you to Harry (you can check out his blog here). Today we introduce you to Leonel- another of our new recruits who joins us from a previous career in hospitality.

He's currently completing some training in order to make him into the best Pharmacy recruiter, however he is actively working on roles for Pharmacy professionals and you could start your search with him today!

What made you choose recruitment?

I'm an extremely sociable, friendly, and humorous individual who takes great pleasure in assisting others to the best of my ability. Given this, it is essential for me to pursue a career that involves interacting with people and making a positive impact on their lives. Couldn't be more right.

​What do you love the most about working in the UK pharmacy market so far?

I get great satisfaction knowing that I am actively seeking out the most suitable matches for an industry whose primary objective is to aid and assist individuals.

​What’s your favourite quote?

​Tell me something interesting about yourself?

I wouldn’t name it interesting but funny. I imagine that a significant number of individuals residing in foreign countries meticulously plan their entire lives down to the smallest detail… well… guess what?! I arrived in England, specifically Chelmsford, to enjoy a delightful five-day vacation. I loved the cold weather and the grey sky so much… who doesn't, right?! On the final day I’ve decided to stay and never returned to Portugal… and here we are, for the 7th year.

​What do you like to do in your spare time?

I’m more of a “stay at home” person, who doesn’t love laying on the cosy sofa watching a series or a film. I also enjoy going to the gym, cocktail tasting and traveling.

​If you could only have one food for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

A very traditional Portuguese dish called “Francesinha”, originated in Porto – my home town.

Before working at Quad Recruitment, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

My whole career path revolves around hospitality and IT… which I wouldn’t say are very interesting.

​If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?

Without a doubt, Ryan….Amazing… Reynolds.

What's your go-to drink?

Amaretto Sour… or… Amaretto and Apple Juice, anything with Amaretto really.

​What are you most looking forward to over the next year at Quad Recruitment?

Learning as much as I can, becoming the best version of myself I can possibly be is very important to me, and enjoying every day with the lovely staff I work alongside with.
