Quad News August 2023: Meet James

Brace yourselves, because things at Quad are buzzing with excitement this month! We're thrilled to share that we've welcomed James aboard to the Quad Squad – bringing a fresh outlook and a new skill set to our UK team.

In this Q&A session, we'll be taking you behind the scenes to get to know James a little better. 

Q: What made you choose recruitment?

A: My key values aligned with those needed in recruitment such as trust and integrity. This coupled with my love for science, and passion for helping others find their path made recruitment an obvious choice.

Q: What’s your favourite quote?

A: “Sic Parvis Magna” (Greatness From Small Beginnings) - Francis Drake

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?

A: I compete in powerlifting at an international level - most recently competing in the 2022 commonwealth powerlifting champions in Auckland, New Zealand where I placed 2nd. I also enjoy MMA at an amateur level. Further hobbies of mine include playing the piano, guitar and reading.

Q: If you could only have one food for the rest of your life, what would it be and why?

A: Ribeye Steak - simple, transparent, effective; the food that's never failed.

Q: Before working at Quad Recruitment, what was the most unusual or interesting job you’ve ever had?

A: When I was living in Sydney I worked as a bartender at Manly 16ft Skiff Sailing Club. This is one of the most iconic venues in Sydney as their sailing team have won numerous national championships. Prior to this I was a swimming coach working at venues up and down the UK.

Q: If Hollywood made a movie about your life, who would you like to see cast as you?

A: Henry Cavill.

Q: What's your go-to drink?

A: Gin + Tonic - a timeless classic.

Q: What are you most looking forward to over the next year at Quad Recruitment?

A: Watching the company evolve and progress whilst unlocking my potential within the sector. It’s your prerogative to create success so do it!
