My partner is redefining the landscape of online pharmacy services, and they are searching for an exceptional Superintendent Pharmacist to lead their clinical governance, compliance, and regulatory strategy and take their online pharmacy to new heights!

This is more than a standard superintendent role – you’ll be at the forefront of innovation in digital pharmacy, ensuring operational excellence, compliance with evolving GPhC regulations, and maintaining a seamless patient experience.

What You’ll Be Doing - 

Regulatory & Compliance Leadership

• Stay ahead of GPhC regulations, ensuring full compliance across all online pharmacy operations.
• Lead internal audits, maintain inspection-ready documentation, and drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee licensing, insurance, and regulatory paperwork to ensure everything is up to date.
• Keep a centralised, inspection-ready file of SOPs, policies, and clinical governance documents.

Pharmacy Operations & Service Continuity

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, ensuring smooth operations and high patient care standards.
• Manage drug stock & materials, ensuring compliance, safety, and sufficient inventory levels
• Ensure seamless prescribing services, managing locum and full-time prescriber rota for uninterrupted patient care.
• Support weekend operations by securing staff and defining new compliance processes.
• Be available for emergency pharmacist duties, ensuring operational continuity.

Leadership & Team Development

• Take charge of staff resource planning, ensuring optimal hiring, training, and development of pharmacists and support staff.
• Conduct clinical governance meetings, ensuring high professional standards and best practices are maintained.
• Develop and oversee training programs for pharmacists, prescribers, and support staff to uphold compliance and excellence.

Performance & Business Growth

• Establish key KPIs to track and improve patient service, compliance, and operational performance.
• Provide monthly reports to the directors with insights into pharmacy performance, compliance, and opportunities for growth.
• Work with courier partners to guarantee safe, timely, and accurate delivery of prescriptions.

What We're Looking For - 

• GPhC Registered Pharmacist with Superintendent experience OR extensive pharmacy operations leadership experience.
• Proven track record in clinical governance, compliance, and regulatory leadership.
• Deep knowledge of GPhC standards, online pharmacy regulations, and inspection requirements.
• Ability to manage staffing, resource planning, and pharmacy operations at scale.
• Strong leadership, team management, and training development skills.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to drive improvements while maintaining compliance.
